We are a community of editors and writers who believe in supporting writers in the publishing process. Our mission is to be there for our authors through all aspects of the publishing journey, starting from the acceptance of their work to publication, marketing, promotion, and beyond. We also want to build long-term relationships with our writers, giving them options to grow with us over the course of their careers.
Founded in 2014 by a few students from Central Michigan University, the press changed hands in 2017. Wordpool’s original vision was to usher new voices and quality work into the world. We continue to evolve while holding true to that original goal.
We appreciate strong, distinctive, and quirky writing in the genres of creative nonfiction, fiction, and poetry in book-length form. Wordpool aspires to publish occasional anthologies on important topics where many voices should be heard. We aren't bashful about gritty material, because we understand life can be that way. Wordpool wants to make a difference for our authors and for our readers. We believe there are many voices and many stories, but just one pool. Send us your best work.
